thinking about going with a 4l60e or 4l80e for the ls1 swap in my truck. the motor has a crane cam, either the 216/224 551/551, or the 224/224 551/551. not sure in the LSA.

what stall speed would you think would be ok? i was thinking around 2400-2500.

3000, i have a 3600 in a stock cammed enginge and wish i had more though, but a truck is a little different

i agree, but this is for my daily driver too in 79 1/2 ton truck.

I have a Yank Stealth 2800 in mine with the stock cam and it is great. Drives like a normal car until you nail it, then hold on! I'm very pleased with it.

I would go with a Yank 3400, I had one in my car with the tr224 and it drove normal until you were really on it.

i would normally say about a 4000 in a car cause bigger is better, but in your truck if you are planning to pull stuff with it i would say about a 2800. but if you dont think you are ever going to pull or haul anything i would say 4000=4400
