Default speedo signal issue

What is the difference in signals from a 1996 4L60e and a 2000 4L60e?

I did a TH350 swap and i'm using the tailshaft off a 96 model but I wired a pigtail to fit the connector to my 2000? the speedo works but it is inaccurate and choppy. Any ideas?

The reason your not getting answers is they should be the same different plugs but same electronics . Check your grounds and the actual sensor.
