Default HPP3 Question

I just finally installed my HPP3 on my 97 TA and it said not to install the shift firm adjust if a aftermarket shift kits is installed? How do I know if one is installed?? I had it installed and the damn thing shift like a beast but I'm not sure if it's shifting to hard. I don't want to break the tranny being in Germany and getting raped on shipping?? Everyone and anyone please help? Thanks

Default Re: HPP3 Question

I don't have an A4 but from what I've seen with most shift kits is that they replace a spring in the vlave body for firmer shifts, usually a different colored spring for various shift firmness. I'd say the only way to know for sure would be to pull the valve body off and check (again I'm not sure what all the shift kit replaces) for stock parts. On a different note I believe you have multiple firmess options with HPP3, did you try more than one setting?
