This is a quote from Car and Driver's website:
Shrinking the Camaro will also make it easier to extract the utmost from the Camaro’s muscle. This is a muscle car, after all, and as such, the flagship engine will be the 400-hp LS2 V-8 straight out of the 2007 Corvette. One or two V-6s will also be available for lower-cost models, likely including the new direct-injection 302-hp 3.6-liter from the 2008 Cadillac STS and CTS. All engines will offer a choice of six-speed transmissions of both automatic and manual varieties.
Now the LS2 is still under heavy debate (I think it will be the LS3) but this is big news as far as the v6 goes. The direct injection engines that are recently hitting the market (sky, solstice) have a ton of turbo potential. From my limited understanding of the technology, it is nearly impossible to detonate and gets better fuel economy. Anyone else heard anything about this engine beine a possibility?
