Default PHB & Swedged tubing?

I was thinking of making my own PHB using the stickies above and the associated links. The thing is there was a thread on here where some well repected people (Sam Strano, Ryan @ UMI, et al.) felt that aluminum wasn't strong enough to handle loads put on the PHB and can still bend even without hitting anything. Companies like Coleman Racing offer tubing in aluminum, steel and swedged steel which from what I gather is larger in diameter but has a thinner wall making it lighter yet still strong...... So, is swedged tubing a good idea for a PHB?
