major electric problem

major electric problem my camaro has a problem where maybe once a day ill be drivin down the road and the car shuts off and the gauges go crazy for a few seconds and the car turns back on and also at night my headlights flicker i have no clue what it is my altenator is good and so is my battery and i also checked my fuses please help!!!

CABLES.....check your battery cables and make sure their not being melted or heated up by your exhaust, i burnt through a battery cable ad it left me on the bridge....i had to relocate it, gauges flew across, car shut off....just check them out
