Thumbs down SLP SS grille mounting hardware

Hello everybody. I finally found the time to put my new SLP SS grille on my camaro and realized it came with no mounting instructions or hardware. Just the grille itself. I called SLP and they did not want to give me any mounting hardware but insisted that they wanted $1.25 for each push pin and $4.95 handling fee and $8 dollar shipping fee. i said no thanks.. I also messaged the SLP guy here on ls1tech with no response either..

so now i have no way to mount the grille and don't feel like using just double sided tape. I was wondering if anybody knew where to get the push pins that SLP supplies with the grille? And where i could come about getting some instructions on what drill bit to use?

if anybody used just double sided tape to mount their grille and wish to sell me their push pins that would be great as well..PM me.

Thanks.

autoparts stores usually sell a varity of fasteners. Not sure if you can find the pinetree fasteners that are used with the grille, but worth a look. As for instructions...

They are black. Heres a pic of what they look like. As to being able to see them, only if you look for them. They dont poke out at you if that is what you are wondering.

Those fasteners are what is used from SLP and they actually look good. They are rounded on the ends and are black to blend in. You dont notice them at all. Not only that, I dont have to worry about somebody jacking my grille while the car is parked.

the shape of the center, where the emblem goes, is different between the SS and bowtie. I installed my SS grille yesterday. The instructions say to drill a 1/4 inch hole. Believe me, it is VERY hard to push the pins into a hole that size (almost impossible). Go up to a 19/64 and they push in very nice. Still real tight, but not impossible to get in.
