Default Cooling fans not turning on....

For the last week i noticed that my car would get hotter than usuall... especially in traffic and stop and go driving. It is tuned to turn the fans on @ 180* but i noticed that they no longer turn on.... I checked the fuses and relays and found that a relay was bad... i replaced it but STILL THE FAN DO NOT turn on...

How can i make sure that the fans are not burnt out??? Also how can i make sure that the fans are getting power.... ?? Any suggestion appreciated..

I know if you turn on the A/C the fans should turn on...easy way to check for power or failure

Connect power right to the fans and see if they turn on.

like an above post said, turn on your a/c to check if the fans can turn on,they automatically come on when you switch to a/c...if they don't the fan motors are probably dead

Have you tested both fans? thats really wierd,if they are getting power through ignition than maybe they're not dead...unless im wrong im 99% sure they are suppose to turn on when the a/c is switched over...

yes i have hooked both of them up directly to the 'ignition' fuse under the hood and they both work..... so what gives??? is it a sensor that is bad???

You sure you checked the two fuses in the underhood electrical center, one is a 40AMP and the other is 10Amp?

if the fans are coming on manually you might want to look into the fuse/sensor again...

i have looked at all the fuses and relays.... they are working; which sensor do you mean???? The one on the water pump, or the one on the side of the block????

the temp gauge in the dash is working properly....

this is a simple issue, if your fans are coming on when you make them come on, the fan motors arent the problem.....

therefore that leaves you with three things...a fuse...a pcm issue....or a temp/wire issue

ok if this is the case........ the fans are working, so check. all fuses and relays have been checked and rechecked. Here is what i dont understand..... there is no 'power' to the fans when they are supposed to turn on.... i have ran the car past the temperature when the fans should be on... and have checked for power at the harness, but no power is there..... so where do you suggest i trace this back too...

ground, pcm program, or trace power wire from harness back...checking load on wire
