upgrading injectors, safe to drive without tuning?
I'm upgrading my stock '99 injectors (26 lb/hr) with LS6 injectors (28lb/hr). My question is, can I drive the car to Rapid, about 3 hours away, without tuning for the bigger injectors? Or should I trailor it? Other mods are bolt ons, TEA heads, and TR 224 cam.
Thanks,
Matt

You'll be fine. The LS6 injectors are only ~8% bigger than the ones you have and the computer can adjust up to 25% richer or leaner.
When you first start the car up it may idle a little rough but, should quickly compensate for the slightly bigger injectors.
Now don't try this with SVO 42# injectors.(Don't ask me how I know that )

Yeah, a 3 hour trip with no WOT would be
The computer will probably be compensating for the injectors most of the trip as the engine/computer see varying load/rpm conditions. So if the car acts a little sluggish every once in a while just remember that.
The computer adjust pretty quick though once it sees a certain condition. If you have ATAP you can watch the computer adjust within seconds if a change is needed.
Have fun, I'm sure with the other stuff that you listed that won't be a problem.
