Default DOD with a stick

Has anyone swapped a dod engine and retained the feature in a manual application? Specifically, I'd like to hook a lh6 up to a t56. Theoretically, it should work since the engine has a separate computer from the transmission. However, I read on the ls4 forum that the DOD doesn't kick on until the car is in 3rd or 4th gear in an automatic. The DOD may be determining that by vehicle speed or an electrical reading though... This question would also be relevant to all the guys swapping l92s in with t56s, but I haven't heard anybody mention if they are having success keeping the DOD. Also, I wonder if a swap to a stick would effect the vvt in an l92? This question will be answered with the LS3, but in the meantime...

Does anyone have experience with these swaps?

Thanks!

Default

the ECM would look at engine load AND vehicle speed to determine when to activate DOD, not just vehicle speed alone...
