Do the LS7 run the same style valve covers as the LS1 and who makes aftermarket ones? I've heard some people saying you can run the LS1 style valve covers and some saying you can't.

You can run the LS1 valve covers on the LS7 heads. You just have to make sure you grind down the baffling on the inside of the valve cover to clear the offset rockers. Working great on my LS7 heads! Any after market LS1 valve cover would work as well.

Our valve covers fit the LS7 heads no problem. Our fabricated style covers are readily available.
