Dynamometer Results & Comparisons - What gears are you super cars running?

When i say super cars im basically saying at the least 800 at the wheels. Im wondering what gears you guys are running on the street. Basically looking to see what gears have worked best for street racing with high hp and what has not worked so well?

Really would depend on the set-up.
If it were turbo, you wouldn't want a very aggressive gear so you can build up boost.
If it were nitrous, you would more than likely choose an aggressive gear to keep you up in your power band.

^^^ More aggressive (narrow) gears will make you boost earlier than wide gears because you get to the right RPM faster

Maybe aggressive was the incorrect word.
I meant something like a 2.73 or 3.42 for a turbo/supercharger application and something like a 4.10 for a nitrous set-up.
Anyways, my intentions were to get across the point that your power should not determine your gearing - your set-up should.

Ok so rougly 1000rwhp procharger set up, th400 with a 9"............ Im going to be mostly roll and dig racing on the street so i dont want to top out at 150 or very quick at all would like to be well into the 200's if i can and still pull like a raped ape. How would like 3.15's be or do you think i should go with some 2.73's?

your power should not determine your gearing - your set-up should.
IMHO that would only be true if you are running an auto. When you get up there in HP and a manuel trans you want some space between your shifts.
