Default Fuel pressure build up on input at rail???HELP????

I have a stock LS1 in a jeep and I am running a inline fuel pump from howell engineering. The fuel line on the input to the fuel rail will come off after the motor is shut off. I don't know why but it will push the fitting right off of the rail. Any ideas????? Thanks

If your using a GM style fitting the retaining clips that hold it on aren't fully engaged or are broken because someone forced it off without the proper tool.

I believe I have to run the corvette fuel filter. Does anyone know if the 2002 firebirds ran a return line from motor or corvette style??

all the 98-02 f-bodies ran a single line fuel rail, the pressure regulator is in the fuel sender assembly so there is not a return line that runs to the front of the car.

The 99+ vettes also use single line rails without a return. The pressure regulator is in the fuel filter near the tank.
