Default Which Valve Spring to Use?

When asking about using the late LS6 cam and springs in an LS1 during a recent conversation with a Corvette shop, they cautioned me that the Corvette uses hollow stem valves and the LS1 does not. Therefore, the LS6 spring may not be capable of coping with the heavier LS1 valve. Any of you engine builders have experience with this being an issue?

Thanks,

Andy1

I ran an 02 LS6 cam along with 02 LS6 springs for around 5K miles. Stock pushrods and retainers. Pulled hard to 6500rpms with a 6800rpm rev limit. No valve float.

If in doubt use 918's and then there's no need to worry.
