Crappy Gas Mileage In My Beater?? Sorry to ask about a non-lsx vehicle but alot of you guys know alot of vehicles in general. Ive been getting very poor gas mileage in my explorer lately. Its a 98 4.0 auto 84k miles, showing no check engine light, drives and acts fine. Ive been running the A/C pretty low about half the time, but surely that cant be losing me 5mpg city. Im getting about 12mpg in the city right now. Wondering if i have something going bad but not showing a code or if it really should be getting that low. I drive it FAIRLY conservatively. Well if you have any ideas speak up, thanks!!
