Default outside noise coming from top of door

Its coming from somewhere around my head. is there anything i can do to fix this? my weather stripping looks fine from the outside. i normally wouldn't mind but i just spend 30+ hours and hundreds of dollars sound proofing my car. it sounds almost as bad as the window open a few inches. anyone else have this problem? is it common.

also check to see if the skin of your door has separated from the frame...just tug on the handle with the door locked and watch for movement.
If it has separated then it wont press the window against the weather stripping and make a seal.

temporarily you can close the door and roll the window down and then roll it up so it raises flush with the weatherstripping instead of pushing outwards against it.
