Default Detail: Scion TC *White*

My buddy dropped off his little white Scion TC with me on Tuesday, ya its a white car and are usually easy to detail, but his car had been thru hell. Paint felt like sand paper, water spots all over the place, the front end of the car could have been a bug museum. Interior was covered in dirt/rocks etc. Wheels didnt have any shine to them, aswell with the paint.

After spending a good portion of the day i was able to bring depth to the paint. The front end is completely clear of all bugs, i also removed some tar and filled some scratches/pits. Wheels are shiny aswell as the tires, interior smells great and is clean.

This is the process i used

Wash car with Meguiars Detailer Shampoo/Sheepskin Mit and Dry
Claybar entire car
Degrease of engine bay, go over with brush/ wash out engine bay/Dry
Wash car again with Meguiars Shampoo/Dry
Apply Menzerna Intensive Polish w/Porter Cable/Wipe off w/microfibre
Apply Menzerna Final Polish II w/Porter Cable/Wipe off w/microfibre
Apply rubber protectant on engine bay
Apply Pinnacle Souveran wax on entire car/allow wax to flash/remove wax w/polish cloth
Claybar of wheels
Shine wheels and a light coat of wax/ Shine tires with tire gel
Vacuum Interior, pull floor mats, apply zaino on rubber interior
Windows/ Some of them were covered in water spots, applied polish by hand
Door Jams/Polish by hand and wax
Weatherstripping/Trim protectant
Pinnacle Spray mist on entire car to bring out shine

This car needed it badly, i have not seen such depth on a white car in a long time.

Before Pictures

This was after claybar/wash you can see the shine comming out already.

Very nice detail! There is a shop a little ways from me that does a lot of work on high end tuners and they have a scion there, looks just like that one, but its running 12's with a custom blower. A worker also owns a 240X with a heads/cam LS1 there.

Looks good, that car really needed some help

What did you use on the engine, I like that level of shine. Did you clean it with anything first and then what did you use on the rubber and such?

I used degreaser to seperate the gunk/dirt, then i went over with a hard brush, sprayed off, dried. Then i coated it with a rubber protectant, its some great stuff, ill link you to it. http://properautocare.com/303-16.html

I've never seen so many bugs on a bumper! great detail. I love the suspense of the before and after pics.
