Any track official ever test your kill switch???

Re: Any track official ever test your kill switch???
That's kind of what I'm hoping for, I'm most likely going to hook mine up to kill power but not the car. Our local track (Atlanta Dragway) is pretty strict though. And I would hate to have to redo it if they actually check it. Thanks for the info George.

Had the battery hold down on and the battery (in stock location) still moved some but not enought to come in contact with anything. No Pass.

I had mine tested at the end of last year....and having never tested it myself...it failed...
They let me finish out the day... But I did need to fix it.
I guess it just depends who ya get for the tech.

Re: Any track official ever test your kill switch???
Just had mine tested last night (on my 70 Nova), and I have the same deal, the alternator is not wired to the kill switch. But I have a one-wire alternator, and it won't start charging until you blip the throttle, and since the guy checking me didn't ask me to rev the engine, it shut the car off. George, you may want to double check yours before the next time you come run, although on friday night street legal drags they didn't check anyone. Saturdays got strict b/c some guy running in super pro wrote the nhra and division 2 director Bill Holt about the fact he's been running 9s for 6 months with no NHRA license or chassis certification. If you want to be hated at a track, there's your go-to move!
