Default cutout Idle issue HELP!

So i just cut the pipe out to put my new DMH cutout on. I wired up the switch for the motor under to the cigarette lighter. There is no cutout in there now. The pipe is just hanging down under the car. I was about to go drive to my buddy's so i can weld the cutout in. However i got in the car and it is idling at around 400 or 500 rpms? I have good oil pressure. But what the hell is going on here this cant be good for my motor. I am on stock manifolds if it matter. Some one help? Is this bad?

Did you disconnect the battery to do the wiring? If so, the first few minutes of idle can be really hairy as the LS1 relearns. Sounds like it is about to die but it comes back eventually.
