read the stickies. There is not one cam that is magical and will be the absolute best, but you can guess and get pretty close. It's like ordering a drink at a bar. Even if you don't get exactly what you want, you'll still get drunk.
bottom line, you will still need to change out the springs. stock springs blow. If you are nervous about drivability, get the TR224 cam.

But yeah, do a little research here. There are so many different set-ups. Just read up and decide which one would suite your driving style the best.

As far as lifters go, some people choose to replace them, others dont simply because they dont feel like pulling the heads. When i did my cam i choose to hold off on the lifters, but only because Im doing a head swap this winter, and didnt want to do the job twice, unless i had to.
