LS1 edit won`t connect

A local shop that I took me car to get tuned with LS1 edit won`t connect with my PCM.I can use my HHP3 and Auto tap with no problems.Anyone have any clues at what the problem is?

Need more info.What OS (Win98,2000,XP)? Serial port or USB? Adapter type? Modem?

Is LS1 edit just a comp program that I would put on my laptop and hook up to the engine somehow? Thanks for some help...

Yes, it comes with a cable that allows you to connect your PC to the car's PCM diagnostics port below the instrument pannel.
