Default placement of cutouts???

are there any downsides to placing the cutout in front of/behind the cats?? I heard that they should be at least 16 inches behind the rear 02 sensors to avoid throwing codes

That's correct if the cutout is to close too or in front of the O2's it'll majorly throw off the O2 readings. I can't really think correctly right now so someone correct me if I'm wrong. It'll say that your O2 reading is higher than normal so it'll jack up your fuel usage. It won't benefit you at all by putting it in front. Mine is right at the end of the intermediate pipe toward the rear.

i have mine placed in the I pipe, like behind the front seat and in front of the back seat. it has great ground clearance, the same or better than my chassis mount tq arm. I just need to add a turndown to keep the exhaust from blowing on the floor lol

Yeah mine is actually turned down in its place a little bit to keep the heat away from the floorboards.

Oh yeah Mine has a cam with .591 lift and with the cutout it sounds like a monster. It shakes the windows in my house at idle. It's a good loud though its a deeper sound. I was scared it'd have a higher pitch being that I currently have stock piping (besides the cutout) It sounds beautiful.
