I put my YT 1.8 ration rockers on today, and followed the instructions to the max that are on LS1howto.com. When I started the car up I there was a noticeable ticking that wasn't going away after 30 seconds. I pulled both valve covers and rechecked everything, all looked ok. Restarted the car and it did the same thing. So I put the car back to stock and restarted it again, same exact noise. Im kind of at a lost, I took my time and triple checked everything and this noise makes me nervous! Any suggestions?

If the rockers are getting oil you could have the rockers installed too lose and tapping noise is rockers hitting the vavle stem.

I think I figured out the problem. I called a couple mechanic buddys of mine and they said it sounds like a lifter possibly moved a little. They told me to drive it around the block easy and see if the tick goes away. So I did. And the tick went away after about 20 seconds of driving it. I got the oil temp up to about 160 degrees then came home and opened the hood and listened to it. It sounds normal now.... thank god....
I failed to mention in my orginal post that the car really ticked when I first started it after I put the rockers on it, then alot of the ticking went away(like it should) except this one tick, so maybe they all righted themselves except one when I first started it. One must of needed a little easy driving to right itself.
