Default Painting the fuel rails?

Has anyone ever painted their fuel rails? How did you prep them and what kind of paint did you use?

More importantly, how do you remove the fuel rails?

you can take the fual rails off just by undoing the injectors from the manifold....using a good solvent to clean them up and then painting should be pretty easy

why not just polish them?

get some Meguiars Mag and Alum polish and start rubbing away at the blackness

to remove go to ls1howto and look up intake manifold removal, it'll tell/show you how

i did mine on satrday..these were taken after about 10 minutes (so not completed)..car is in pieces right now so i'll take more when its back together

I got mine painted. I should be pickin them up this week along with lots of other under hood things that got painted. I would say just get them cleaned up good & follow regular paint procedures.
