Default most cost effective stroker motor with a aluminum block?

my car needs a new short block, how much bore can i use on the stock heads? i want to do this as cost effective as possible without adding the weight of a iron block

what are my options?

You cat really bore the LS1/2 blocks much, but you can go with a 4 inch stroke to make it a 383. If you already own the aluminum block cant get much cheaper than that.

I think the SDPC 416 is the best value big CID LSx, with your choice of 402's after that.

you can get a sdpc ls2 long block for just over 5k
