Default Got Tunercat? Got a PDA? Want to test PCM flashing software for PocketPC?

Imagine being able to go to the track and bring a couple tunes with you, and leave your laptop computer behind at home... We're working on building a software application that runs on PocketPC that is capable of flashing LT1, LS1 and Gen III V8 truck PCMs.

We have most of the pieces in place already, as we've been using the GT Tuner to sell mail order tunes since the beginning of the year. We're going to modify it slightly so it can be used as a general PCM flashing tool and market it as a stand-alone software application.

If you are interested in helping test the product, please send me email at vince@trifectaperformance.com. You'll get a beta version of the software that you can use on your vehicle. We expect to be ready to start the beta within a few weeks. People interested in testing the software will need the following:

HP iPAQ PocketPC running PocketPC 2003 or Windows Mobile 5.0
"Tunercat" (or compatible) OBD2 vehicle interface module
Serial interface cable for the PocketPC

Of course, if you want to try the product out, but don't have all (or any) of the pieces listed above, we can help you find what you need. If you have questions about whether your iPAQ is compatible, or your vehicle interface module, feel free to email me.

Adding tuning and logging features down the road is definitely in the realm of possibilities.
