Default Why replace slave cylinder?

just curious....do most clutch manufactures recommend replacing the slave cylinder because most factory clutches last so long and they figure you've got high miles since you're doing a clutch install, or is there some other reason?

my car only has 24,700 miles on it and i'm about to splurge on a Textralia because my stocker is in shambles thanks to my cam and bolt-ons. that's why i asked....just wondered if i HAD to replace the slave, or if it was just recommended.

Exactly + the stocker has been put thru some abuse with the stock clutch woes.
Just replace it unless you feel like pulling the trans again to replace it.
It just falls under do it up right the first time.

When I did my first Spec 3, I didn't do one because it had just been replaced by a GM unit a few thousand miles prior. That slave cylinder went out within a few hundred miles and ruined the clutch. Guess what I got to do
