Default Ls1/Ls6 engine swap motor mounts 55.99!

From what i have seen...most people are charging $100+ for mtor mounts.
well i've just ordered mine from Jegs for $55.99 for my G-body el camino. These mounts can be used on any car that originally had a older model sbc.

Your 2 months to late to help me on this one. Report back on fit and quality when you get them though. May be an LS2 project next...

I made them myself with some scrap steel and paid like $10 for bolts. Thats a tough deal to beat right there and its super easy.

They are easy to make and can be taylored to what you need in either of the two common styles of plates (S&P or BRP). You can move the position of the mounts and use different thickness to move the engine around as needed.

I made mine from 1/4" steel and only used common tools, 4" Grinder w/cutting wheels, file, drill and taps. I then powder coated them. You can use any type of mounter mount.

I would think so, since it was originally equipped with a sbc.

i have a paracing kmember in my firebird, but if they work on a 3rd gen fbody, its an alternative to the 100$+ mounts from the 3rd gen stores.

I just ordered a set. I'll let you know about quality when they arrive. I was surprised when placing the order that Jegs has "Free" shipping. When I went to check out, they added a $12 "Handling" charge. I guess they get you one way or another....gp

Normally I am DIY type of guy but if it comes with the engine mounts to drop onto frame mounts, that pretty good deal.

These are the transdapt mounts, right? They sell them with a 1" set back too, w/ or w/o rubber pads.

yep, they're trandapt. i got my mounts yesterday haven't installed them yet. I wish i would have know that you had an option of ordering them without the rubber, because those are the ones that i got. i would have preferred solid or poly motor mounts. all-in-all...they look good! I'll post some pics later.

They are still cheap even with the mounts; go ahead and ditch'em and get some solids or prothanes.

You can get them at Summit also! They're only 53.69 at Summit, plus summit only changes 10.95 for handling... Save a little bit of cash...

Summit part number TRD-4592

or just click below.

Looking at the picture on Summit's site, these appear to be the same dimensions as the S&P plates. Good to know for people looking for headers and crossmembers!
