Default Who's making the most power from a 347?

I'm wondering what the highest output forced induction 347 is on this site...

Dyno Queens and track times with close to stock cubes, 346's and 347's only, no 360 or 370+ engines...

I believe that Harlan with his turbo set the standard high with his 347 set-up. If I'm not mistaken: 8.21 in th 1/4 - done a couple years ago. Use the search and you'll find some write up on it.

Subscribing, I'm interested to see what people have done with the 346. I get finished with my tune next thursday and will take it to the track soon after. I'm pretty sure my setup will be pushing the limits of the stock 346.

Best MPH was 172'ish, at 3250 lbs. Something in the 1100 RWHP range i'd guess.

Damn that was a long time ago

This is a blast from the past but didn't Rob Raymer(sp) claim something north of 800 to the tires on a stock bottom end? Never followed it that closely tho...

Yeah Matt made huge numbers.

Arun would be the big dog right now, but my car has made 867rwhp with my single 88 thru a T400 trans.

That must be a very well built 347. I wish I had the money to upgrade my 346 so I could try pushing a little harder.

That's with built internals though, right? If people are putting down this much power with stock blocks why does everyone say 500rwhp is the limit?

Tiago had a stock crank with good rods and pistons.

mine was on a stock crank, block, and caps.

shitty 317 heads, GMPP carb manifold and the old twin 66 setup. Glide for the trans, 28x10.5W tire, and 3.60 rear gear.

Nothing specially really.

Boost = all the 66's would make about 30 peak, dropping to 27 ish by 8k RPM.
