They should work fine, but why take a chance when the new LS7 lifters are only around $150. That is cheap insurance to me. Just do what your budget allows.

SDPC, one of the sponsors here, has them. You can link to them from the vendor list.

Id also go with some ls7 lifters, you will be thanking yourself later on that you dont have to pull the heads again due to a bad lifter.

With the heads off, you're right there, IMO just bite the bullet and pick 'em up I am gonna swap mine out when I yank the heads off. Good luck man! Car should rip when it's done.

I hate cheap insurance.

"get a new oil pump, cheap insurance"
"get a new chain, cheap insurance"
"get new pushrods, cheap insurance"
"get new lifters, cheap insurance"

all this cheap insurance for my H/C swap is like $800

i have an 02 z28 and i'm going to do heads and cam. I'm most likely going with the t-rex which has specs 242/248 .608/.612 on 110lsa and was was told by many to get the new cane lifters, which btw are like $500. Does anyone know about the ls7 lifters. I will be spinning to about 7grand too. Thanks

Avoiding those will result in a $3000 shortblock, take your pick or you're not ready for a cam yet.

Does LS7 Lifters fit directly in a LS1 engine?
I was looking at Comp Cams High Energy Hydraulic Roller Lifters (193$)

Which one would be preferable over the other?
