Automotive News, Media & Press - LS3, LS9, LSX!? (not LSx)

Was just browsing info on the LS4, since a buddy is looking to get a GP GXP and the Wiki (Yea, not so reliable) lists all those... I knew the new Vettes get LS7s, but I heard NOTHING about the LS3. The LSX seems just to be the SEMA motor, but odd they'd call it the LSX. 511ci and 2500bhp is just fricken insane :eek2:

The '08 'Vette will have the LS3 as the base engine I believe.

That's what it says, I've just never heard anything about it. Good idea though, the LS2 + the LS7 basically.

LS3 is putting out good numbers from what I hear.

High 300s WHP all day stock. More bore makes me happy. That thing will respond so well to bolt-ons and a cam. Its going to have nice, unshrouded valves right from the factory to take advantage of lift and duration.
