I finally got my rockers installed today. Holy crap does it ever launch hard now; hardest part is rotating the motor 6 times to get lash on every rocker.

1/4 mile times to come at 1,048 metres (3,440 ft) above sea level

Yep, even with my as of yet unresolved fueling problems (good compression and several relashing's later, leaning towards a broken wire on sensor now as opposed to mechanical damage) barely touching the go pedal will slam you back in your seat from a stop, hard to not invoke traction control. Feels stronger than my LT1 with 3.73 gears from a stop!

Well, problem resolved. I finally gave up (after having my local guy look at it and come away stumped) and threw out the crazy directions that Crane/Vinci gave about how to set preload, called up Crane and they said there is no problem doing it the same as any other small block and to go 1.25 turns of preload instead of 2 (as stated in the directions), that did it! From the look of the plugs, 2 full turns was hanging 4 intake valves open, although a compression test should them all pretty consistant across the board, maybe the lifters were not fully filled during the test. Now I have a few seconds of clatter while the lifters pump up and it purrs like a very, very happy kitten. Kitty scoots along real well too! Off on a small road trip tommorow, should put about 500 miles on it this weekend and will get my fueling squared away. Then I will try to get to the track.
