Default Some dyno results m6/10bolt to pg 9"

Ill have to post dynos later since i forgot to get them lol.

408/pt88 on the stock 6 speed through a stock 3.42 10 bolt at 10 psi made 723 ish. Switched to a PG with a 3000 stall, 9" 3.50 gear with a spool and at 10 psi made 615 ish. Loss of 100 hp to the tire.

Ran the car on the 6 spd clutch not wanting to disengage completely on 13 psi with the 9" and the m6 11.8@125 with 1.8 60 ft (made 830 Hp on 6 spd and stock rear at 13 psi).

Ran tonight on the PG and 9" at 10 psi and went 10.7@129 with a 1.6 60ft, this was off the t-brake at 10 psi and 3.5k rpm launch.

Still having an ignition issue with the car. Have to run a/f up to mid 13's to make power and not break up.

I will try and get the dyno comparison up.

I look forward to seeing that comparison, and good work on the testing!
And be careful with that a/f #, that is pushing it IMO.

Damn Sean thats flying up here. Congrats on getting into the 10's. You went to a glide? I coulda swore you had a TH400 in there and not the six speed. Pretty damn cool.

I decided since we should have plenty of power the glide was the way to go for me. Now I just need to take some weight out of the pig.

The a/f is definitely a lot leaner that i would normally run but till I get the issue sorted it will have to do. No KR and the plugs are reading a little dark. Now I get to start diagnosing the issue. I am fairly sure it is plug wires.

Tried some more runs tonight but could only muster a 10.8@130. Ill try and get some dynos posted this coming week.

sounds like your wideband might need calibrated.

thats one hell of a drop. we are seeing 600rwhp with our 5.3 at 15psi in the fairmont. thats thru a t400, a stall that is flashing to ~5300rpm and thru an 8.8. sounds to me like 100+hp going to the tranny and stall we have? not that it matters since it is all about the ET and you got a nice improvement there!

I reference my WB with the Dyno jet about 4 times a month on different cars. We checked it that day too and it was spot on. hoping some plug wires take care if the break up issue. If not I guess throw more $$$$$ at the car, cam/crank sensors, truck coils maybe well have to see.

But I am pleased with the ET results. The DA was 8000 ft last night on the 10.8 passes.

The 100+ RWHP loss is not real. It only looks like that on the dyno.

Transbrakes make me all happy in the pants! Automatics get a bad rap, nothing is better for consistency. Not knocking you hardcores that can rip off perfect runs on an M6 everytime. Most of us, including me couldn't find any sort of consistency until dropping in an auto. I was sad to see my M6 go, but a TH400 with a brake rocks.
