Default Supercharger cam?

I am thinking of buying a 9# Vortech supercharger in the next couple weeks and would like to know how much HP increase I would get from changing the cam.

I have Hooker LT's
ORP
Loudmouth

Any cam suggestions?

Do you think I will be over 500 rwhp with the 9# Vortech kit, TR's Supercharger cam, hooker LT's, ORP, and Loudmouth exhaust?

You should break 500 with that combo, even tuned to 91 octane gas. And if the Vortech doesn't do it, you just know the ATI would!!

I had a new cam recently put in (check sig)

So far it made 470rwhp and 540rwtq, unlocked on the dyno...

A good blower cam can gain a lot when spec'd to take advantage of boost.

They come with a wide split duration and wide LSA

open the exhaust a few degrees early
open the intake a few degrees later.

How does the Futral Motorsports Cam - 224"/230" .587"/.593" 114LSA compair to the TR cam?

224/227 .563/.569 114 LSA (This cam will check in the 226 range on the exhaust lobe.)

How much would the higher lift and more exhaust duration help? I'm really wanting to be well over 500 rwhp with this set up. I would be upset if I spent all this money and couldn't beat a good H/C car pretty good. I'm picking up the supercharger Sunday.

Higher lift and higher duration are not good...

Too much overlap occurs..

The cam I have..

214/218 .540/.550 114lsa 112icl

Its a perfect blower cam....you want to stay under 220 duration, and stay low on the lift too, I was told to go lower on the lift, but I stuck with whats on there now...
