So I feel like im running unneccessarily heavy. What do you think I should do? This is a street sunny day car that sees shows and strip time. It is cammed, full boltons, m6, full suspension

This makes me feel heavy:
sfcs, this seemed like unnecessary weight cuz they didnt seem to do anything for me
stb (doesnt do anything for me)
17 in rims are obviously heavier than 16s
2 12'' in sub box + amp (take this out for the strip of course)
just traded my tsp rumbler for a slp dual/dual w/ e-cutout

Basically I saved weight by:
slp ho hood (lighter than stock a bit from what i've heard)
Removed spare + jack
!emissions
headers+ory saved about 20-25 lbs
At the track i do !front swaybar
tubular lcas, phb (few lbs there)

Its what ever makes you happy. SFC could be needed for future mods and so on but all that cant add to much. and the subs are removable i use to run with 2 12s and amp till they got stolen lol. I believe that unless you take off 100lbs or more weight isn't a factor who's to say the person you might race doesn't weight 80lbs more then you. Also its not the rim size that effects weight its the tire size and how much air is in it. a 16" rim with a big tire can add as much as 100lbs rotating mass.

My 17" Rims weigh considerably less than my 16's do..
I am adding weight as well. Suspension, heavier Engine, probably SFC's and a 6pt Cage, but that is weight that I have to have, and I can afford a little bit with what it weighs now, and also what the new Engine will be putting out for power. :)

Keep your SFC...just get chromoly if your really a weight nazi. Suspension, alot of after market is lighter than stock (especially chromoly). STB doesn't do much, I keep mine on so it looks pretty, and its a nice hand hold when your wrenching. I ditched my lower strut thingy too (mind fart right now, the horizontal one under the engine, like a stb).

Get some after market rims, lighter hood/pin on...

I say leave it alone......it's mostly a cruising car that sees some track time, not a drag car
