Buy a stroker or built it?
I have some money saved up and I want to step up but i have other things to buy for my car besides a motor. I need a 12 bolt, drive shaft, and some more suspension parts for the car to make it have a solid foundation. This car is a DD car and I need to have some drivability. How much would a 402 cost my after everything is said and done?

But BUY THE stroker. granted it would be great to learn it all by building one but $$$ its cheaper to buy one. Shops get the parts a hella lot cheaper than you or I can.

not sure after said in done but you need the stroker kit $3,600. than you would need new fuel injectors $400 then someone to install it not sure how much that would be. now for the extras that are really nice to have but dont need. 205 afr heads to keep your drivabilty and add more power you would gain more power with the 225 but would suck for DD which would cost $2200 plus new rockers and pushrods. than you would want a 90/90 setup.

well you could do it for 7500 maybe LOL
short block 3600 i built mine for maybe 3000
heads if your on a budget you dont need 2500$ best of the best
i dont know what you S2 heads are but prolly better than stock so they would work.
sell your cam for 150 get a custom grind for 400. injectors 400
wait on the fast 90/90
NO ONE SAYS YOU HAVE TO BUILD THE BADDEST ENGINE YOU CAN AT THE DROP OF A HAT.
hell wait on the intake i spent 1600 on mine you could do it for 7500
so really all you need to do is get the short block injectors and cam then gaskets and use the rest of your setup till you can afford the COOL stuff. good luck man. trust me you will love the added displacment for sure

for a budget the l92/76 combo is a sweet setup for a 402 or 408 and a longblock with that combo should be in the 8k range.check with some of the vendors like tsp and have them price you one to get an idea.

I think you should look in to a forged 347.
