Default Sold Z...New Car

Well i sold my 97 z/28 with basic mods(full exhaust,CAI) about 2 weeks ago and i just picked up my new car. Its 1993 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I picked it up from my cousins buddy that is a guru with these cars .when i went to go take a look at it i seen it and i was like ehh it dont look that fast , my cousin starts laughin at me . me confused , hes like just wait so the guy didnt really let me drive till i showed him that i had money to buy if something happened while driving it . ok so im drivin this thing with my cousins buddy and im like ok its not all that fast and hes like you havent even gotten into the boost , so he tells to shift down to 2nd and ease into the throttle and i did and about half way to the floor this thing just fcukin starts pullin hard and me im smilin like holy sht. wow !! this thing is quik compared to my old camaro. then my cousins buddy starts laugin and says "you werent expectin that huh?" i get on it again and i cant keep my head up! this thing just throws you into the back of the seat and when you let off u fly forward . i kno this is not the import forum jus wanted to say hi to all the illinois guys and keep an eye out for me in my 10sec 605hp 4banger. got boost?

DSMs are quick if there done right but i have yet to see one where i live done right. My buddy has a 99 GST and we are always working on the damn thing to get it running right. I would have bought an LS1 if was me, but first gen TSIs aren't a bad choice if runs strongs.

What stroker kit does it have? I know AMS is a reputable shop that is throwing out some sick 4G63's with the 2.3 stroker gt35r combinations.

Azar, yes its a 2.3stroker gt35r setup by AMS and its insane. The guy i bought it from did not go cheap with this car in any area. Engine was built by Buschur Racing , new gt35r setup by AMS , SHEP Trans, Twin disk clutch... sht even down to the gauges its got Defi gauges all around . I just happened to catch him when he kinda strapped for cash so i made him an offer and he accepted so now i got myself a new fully built AWD monster.

Matt D , it had DSMlink in but i had my cousin remove it and wire up an Apexi SAFC due to the fact that i dont own a laptop and that SAFC is proven to work and not erase the tune if the battery dies or gets disconnected as where DSMlink if you disconnect anything you lose the whole tune, also all the quirks arent worked out yet with DSMlink. so now i have the safc wired to a new ecu because with dsmlink they install a chip inside of the ecu that cannot be removed .

the whole thing about dsm's being shitty and unreliable is all a bunch of bullshit ! theyre just like any other car. the reason why they got their bad name is cause punk *** kids buy them and just throw go fast parts on them and dont even think about maintinence or even know what maintainence is and just go run the **** out of them. if you dont take care of it yes it will breakdown, but the dsm's that are out there gettin down and layin the smack down on alotta v8's are usually very well maintained by their owner , and mine is very well maintained by me and by the previous owner.so all that crap about dsms needs to just stop because theyre just like any other car. LT1capriceclassic any time you wanna grab a lane let me know so i can show you how the "timebomb" gets down.
