Default HELP!!!! Cats on TD's????

I just had some pacesetter LT's and Texas Speed TD's installed on my '00 SS

and the guy that installed them said that you can't install cats on that exhaust!!!

Someone PLEASE tell me thats not true. And if it's not then could someone show/tell me where the cats go?

Thanks for helping a noob out..

when it comes to exhaust you can install anything with anything.....as long as you know how to cut and weld....a set of high flow cats...can be installed where the X-and lt collectors meet....seen it done....

Thanks for the input y'all... What about clearance on the drivers side (because of the floor pan)? I see where it can "fit", but will I lose ALOT of clearance?

Also: A tune shop (Redline) has told me that if I put the cat THAT close to the header it will ruin it in no time....

Thanks for the input.

It can be done for sure. I'm assuming you wanna use high flow cats? Just cut the pipe and weld them in wherever they will fit and not cut down on your ground clearence too much. Better yet, just go without cats and have them tune out the o2 sensors.

I had 3" cats on my Texas Speed true duals so it can be done....I however regretted it after that. Why are you wanting to put cats on?

I only want the cats on because I'm in the Military and have no idea where I'll go from here..

Either way, if I don't put them on, I've GOT to run it out the back cause the drone and smell are killin' me.
