Florida Members - In the hospital.....

Our friend Amit (bright red Z with the black snowflakes) is in the hospital right now,i'm not totaly sure what happend, but heres what i know. Saturday night he was riding in the back of his friends EVO, they where at a dead stop and was rear ended by some kids doing over 100mph then was hit again after they came to a stop, this time in the front, the air bags never deployed from what i'm told, to my knoledge no one was killed, amit is in stable condition and talking, i talked to him on the phone and he says he's in alot of pain, all i know is his hip is broken and has already had surgery performed on it, but it could possibly never heal properly, there are other issues that i don't have enough info on, i could be wrong on a few points, i only have he said she said info at the moment, i'm going to see him in the hospital this wensday.

Dude, that blows big time! The bad thing is that injuries like that never truly heal 100%. I hurt my back in a car crash about 3/3.5 years ago and it still hurts pretty much all the time. Hope he heals up nicely! Damn, and I thought my luck was bad. I'd take my engine grenading any day over breaking my hip.

That's actually a really good idea. I'd probably have to bum a ride, but I'm down.

He's at shans down town, and I went and saw him today and found out more about what happend. They wernt stopped they where actually cruising at 60, and amit said he saw a pair of HID lights racing up behind them and they where far away then they where hit seconds later, so the kid who hit them was screaming and they said they heard nothing, no signs of breaking, no tire squel and they where smashed into from behind, the force of the impact forced most of the rear of the car into the backseat an into amit, they where thrown into on comming traffic and struck again. The 2 people in the front of the evo walk away while amit took the brunt of the attack, I don't know about the girls in the car who hit them the second time and I was told the punk who hit them is also in the hospital where he belongs.

get him out of shands....its a great TRAUMA place but they kill people who stay there after a few days...ie the food, post care, etc....

i swear to god ive seen a 4 gunshot victim go into the ER they save him, he's stable...and dies 5 days later from unrelated things
