I'm about to install them sometime this week. Looks like you have to put a dimple on the third tube from the front on the drivers side to clear the power steering box. Also, the only way to get them in is from the bottom of the car, so you need two people. I'll try to post some pics as soon as they're in.

I am putting a 5.3 in my 69 camaro and have the same problem. Why is so hard to find a header that I don't have to put a dent in. Who wants to shell out money for headers and then put a big dent in them before installing?

Did you relocated the pulleys on your Ls2 or are you losign the AC. I want to keep my AC, but haven't found what I need to relocated everything yet.

We are losing the A/C but I have heard of people just getting a differant style compressor to make it fit. If I remember right it was a compressor from an earlier vehicle with a LS1, maybe a earlier Camaro. I think just the lines need to come out differant

Oh man, just noticed that the headers that I have are not the same like the ones shown for the headers with factory steering. I think I'm royally screwed.

Looks like the only way those headers would clear the steering is to move the engine back about 5 inches. Other than that, there is no way they would clear. How much of the advantage of a long tube do you loose once you have to crush a few tubes down? Saw a few comparo's on the LS1 manifolds and headers, and overall, the LT didn't have enough advantage for us to justify the headache. The mid lengths are fine with us, and they drop right in. They flow a bit better than the F-body manifolds, and about the same as the Y-body manifolds, but they fit.

Those ehaders would easliy clear the steering in a front steer like a chevelle. No way on a rear steer. The No. 3 and 5 need to flaair in towards the block to even hope to clear the steering gear.

I have the wrong set of headers. Me, being the genius that I am, didn't double check the part numbers. I have the headers for rack and pinion steering. Unfortunately, I've already polished and "modified" them. I'm hoping that Stainless works will be willing the sell me the pre-bent tubes that I need and just have them rewelded at work, can't think of anything else. BTW, the part number for headers with factory steering is CALS1SB. I have the CALS1
