Default Seat covers - feedback please.

My leather seatcovers are pretty much garbage. Who sells the front covers only ?? I've seen real leather sets on Fleebay for $650 (all seats incl. shipping), Ecklers for example sells velour for a 93-96 model for $440... not sure if those fit a '99....

Anyways.... anybody bought leather or velour seat covers ? How is the fit, do they last, is it really leather or some junk vinyl .... ???...

Don't post about slip over covers... I already found out that those don't fit....

Looking at the photos on fleebay I like these leather seat covers more and more.... before I spend $650 I'd really like to hear from others who bought these...
The Ebay seller is leatherseats.com, anybody bought from them ?

What can I expect to pay at a upholstery shop to get the two front seats done in tan leather ??

My buddy bought Katzkins (?) and they turned out sweet, excellent fit & finish. For the money though, I'd just get a new set of seats with better support & shape. Do a search.

shudog,

Thanks, the Katzkins are top of the line stuff.... just called a local upholstery today, they're $1275 installed - that's way more than I'm willing to spend.

You can do the install yourself, nothing too special required, just some elbow grease. Do it outside on a hot day with the covers laying out and you'll get it done. Call back and see what the price is for the covers only.

Online price for the Katzkin covers is $1000-$1100

I pulled the trigger last night, ordered the $650 covers off Fleebay and will install myself. I emailed two guys who bought these covers (recent customers off their feedback list) and both are still happy 2-3 months after the purchase....
I'll report here when I installed the covers, should take around 2-3 weeks to get them....
