HELP! Concerns with SLP line lock
I just recently installed my SLP line lock, and bled the brakes and everything was fine. Next day I checked the system for leaks and fluid levels and all checks out. When your car is off and you flip the switch, I didn't realize how loud it was.
First time trying it out was just sitting on a hill to see if it would hold me and keep me from rolling. It worked.
Second time trying it out was on a flat road in first gear to see if it would start to hold me as I ease into it a little bit. It worked.
Third time I try it out is when I decide to roast the tires. I mildly ease into it and start spinning the rears yet at the same time I am moving forward a little sideways as if the front brakes are only slightly grabbing so I let off and drive a little bit. I pull over and decide to try it again. Same thing happens.
I noticed sometimes it seems like I had to pump the brakes to get it to work before flipping the switch and other times I don't.
Driving to work this morning braking seemed ok durning slowing down while driving but when I had to come to a stop the pedal became hard to push down and only after a couple seconds of stepping on the pedal hard would it start to release and become easier and stop better. It's done this quite a few times.
I have read some articles about some people having to turn the solenoid around so the SLP reads upside down and then it will work and get rid of the not gripping and not stopping problems. I have also read about some peoples systems locking up their brakes. I hope I don't have that happen.
I am looking for advice and information as far as what I could or should do to resolve these issues I am having with it. I think I am going to try flipping it upside down when I get home tonight then go out and see if it helps fix my braking and if it will hold my front brakes better so I don't move. I know my rotors could be turned and I could use some new brake pads soon but I wouldn't think that would be the problem.
If anyone has had any similar issues or problems and has found any solutions or fixes for them please let me know. I want to get this thing working right before I take the car out to the track and I don't want to have an accident while driving because of brake problems. Does flipping the switch on and off while car is not running affect the system at all?

well i don't have a line lock myself but i have heard that the procedure for using it is to hold down the brakes (all the way to the floor), switch on the lock, then pump the brakes a few times. I'm not sure if that is what you are doing or even if it is for sure the correct way but that is how i have understood it from a few posts on here. i would try that before having to flip it around.

Sounds like you have the solenoid in backwards. I did the same thing with my first one (they are directional). Try flipping it the other way, bleed the system and give it another go. I've never heard of someones brakes locking up.
For the record, you pump the brakes a couple of times, hold the pedal down, flip on the lock, then release the brake pedal. The car shouldn't move. Pumping it after activation doesn't make any sense. Like trying to move a couch to another room after you close the door.
