Default LS1 into 77 C3 windage tray question

Hello all, I tried a search and read the sticky's with no luck.
I'm putting a 2004 Corvette LS1 into my 77.
After figuring out the C5 batwing pan would not fit I ordered up a Camaro pan, pick up and windage tray. Went to swap it today and the Camaro windage tray is shorter than the C5. The C5 tray looks like it would work, the Camaro tray would leave the front 2 rods uncovered.

Anybody have any info ???

Thanks, Frank

P.S. if you need a good laugh, my friend (not present today) told me he drained the oil before he dropped the motor off at my house, he even put tape with "No Oil" over the fill tube. Imagine my surprize when I took out the last bolt ........ All while hanging from the hoist .....

Correct, the F-Body tray is shorter and does not cover the front to rods. The F-body pan is very close and will not allow a full windage tray.

Would suggest you get the correct F-Body windage tray, pickup tube, dip stick and tube for the F-Body pan.

Glad to see another 77 vette doing the swap! What are your plans for the fuel system?
