loud rubbing noise when i push gas pedal..?02 a4 ta i dont know what happend ,my car was driving fine until i stop at a drive through , i put in park while i was getting my food after that i put in D and hear a strong rubbing noise when i pushed the gas pedal..but when i let the pedal go the sound decreases? any ideas wuts wrong ? thanx

get a squirrel caught in your wheelwell? run over some junk? check your belts? check your inner fender panels? wheres the sound comin from... it;s probably in your head. i always get paranoid after i do something to my car and i start hearing or feeling weird ****.

I thought this was a joke when I read the title.
I have a loud rubbing noise when I get on the gas. Smoke comes from the rear of the car too and it smells like something is burning...wait...rubber, it's rubber burning.
Sorry I couldn't be of any real help lol.

Do you mean the pedal is making a rubbing sound or the car itself is making an acceleration/load "rubbing" sound, as you said, once let up on throtle, its gone.
