Default How does having a manual brake setup feel?

Thinking about converting to the strange manual master cyl seeing as how I already have the ABS bypassed. I am wondering how it feels having manual brakes? Is there anyway to simulate how it would feel by maybe removing the hose that goes to the brake booster? I couldn't find any threads about this.

I wouldn't want manual brakes... don't see a point in it. You could pop the hose off the brake booster to test it out... probably be similar though I don't know what the difference is between the different master cylinders.

Well I guess its just a means of saving a whole 9 lbs and also clearing up some spave by removing the brake booster. I guess I was just trying to see if it's worth it or not.

My dad has a 63 buick with power brakes and it's scary to drive, it would probably be a bitch to drive without any power.

my car died while doing about 60 on the freeway the other day when i was replacing my starter and accidently left some wires touching my headers. I got to feel what manual bakes would feel like... you DO NOT WANT THEM. I had to stand on the breaks to get the car to stop, and that was with nothing infront of me. If there was a car that was braking anywhere near me, i can almost gurentee i would have hit it.

Having manual brakes is a WAY differant feel than having power brakes with the hose disattached! I have manual brakes in my 69 camaro, and my dad has power brakes in his 69. It really isn't that bad having maual brakes. But I still would much rather have power brakes over manual.
