Finally 12's N/A
Yeah, I went out to the track on Friday, and ran nothing but new bests. The power wire for my nitrous kit fried, so I had to run N/A all night. My previous best before tonight was 13.2 @ 105 on motor, and my very first run of the night gave me a 13.0
That was followed by a few 12.9's, 12.8's, and a few 12.7's.
The best run on the night was a 12.70 @ 108.8
I was pretty happy. The track was hooking pretty well, but if I gave it too much off the line, I would blow the tires off. Just had to find a happy median.
I was kinda stumped, because I made exactly NO changes to the car between times at the track, and it was actually worse weather this time. Oh well though. I can't complain.

congrats Nick on breaking into the 12s. Did you go to Gainesville's street legal race on Friday? I must have seen you run, b/c there was only 40-50 cars, and I saw one dark red t/a making passes. Traction was limited that night, but that's b/c not many people run sticky tires to leave any rubber on the line. I only got a 1.95 60 foot from my Nova, and it got worse from there. But I got mid 12s from std radials, so I was happy!
Bring it out on a Saturday, and you'll find MUCH better traction from all the big tire cars leaving a good starting line intact, as opposed to the ricers!

Yeah, I was there on friday, and that was me, the only dark red ta.
George, I wanted to use the e.t. streets, but I couldn't find my lug nut key thingy, so I couldn't get my wheels off to switch them.
The track was still hooking pretty good though. I made one descent nitrous pass before my **** fried and it was a 12.08 @ 115. My bottle heater wasn't working, and I was pissed 'cause I might have gotten a new best bottle run if it would have been warm. Last time, I trapped at 119 on a warm bottle. Oh well though.

Thanks guys. I'm re-wiring the kit tomorrow, and hopefully I'll make it to test and tune tomorrow night. I'm also having to replace a solenoid.
