Southern Members - Anyone in the Hardeeville, SC area?

Hello,

I may become a displaced Yankee. I currently live in southeast Pennsylvania. We own a construction company and were asked by a Development Company to relocate to southern South Carolina. Apparently the Development Company pretty much bought a gazillion acres around a town called Hardeeville which I believe is near Savannah, GA. The most important question is, are there any dragstrips in the area????? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

From Hardeeville you will be driving at least 2 hours to get to any dragstrip in SC or GA.

You're going to be disappointed with the strips down here. I'm another EFA member that ended up down in SC. The two 1/4 strips in SC are Carolina Dragway in Aiken and Darlington Dragway in Hartsville.

The rest are all 1/8 mile. Pretty much no tech=lots of POS cars breaking down and having to wait for the grudge racers to get the hell out of the way. I miss having MIR, Cecil, Delmar, and Capitol close by.
