head placement or no?

head placement or no? during the latter part of my cam swap a friend broke off the pen magnet into the pushrod chamber and we cannot get it to come out, should i take the head off?
if i do i know i would need a new gasket, anything else?

i got to the passenger side bolt in the back, and its stripped i've tried to knock a 12mm onto it along with 1/2 inch (13 originally) but none of the above work, i bought a set of sockets for stripped bolts the kind that screw onto the bolt but i can't get them on, is the head bolt some high carbon steel that idk about?
