air pump would my car make a wierd noise when excellerating if my air pump went out It showed a code and it the air pump but i wanted to see if it would cause the noise and make the engine lose power when excellerating from a roll. Can't really describe the noise but it only does it everynow and then and only when i excellerate when rolling so any help would be apperiated thanks

The air pump is electrically controlled/not belt driven, so most codes will be for it not coming on. They can make noise if going bad, but run mostly during cold starts only for just a few minutes. Post the code, but sounds like something else is going on.
