Finally in the 11's Hey,
I am finally in the 11's! My car is a 98 C5 M6, vortech blower, 220/224 cam, headers, exhaust (544RWHP 556RWTQ on a Mustang Dyno). The first time I brought my car out, it was on 295 street tires and I had a problem wih the aftercooler. The car went 13.3 and 14.3 with a 114 MPH trap and a 2.38 60'! After the car cooled down and the sun went down, the car went 12.32@122 with a 2.42 60' (yea, street tires suck!) I finally got some DR (beat 17" BFG's) last month and went back to the track. This was my first time out on these tires, but at least I got into the 11's. I went 11.72, 11.92, 11.79, and 11.95 all at 124 MPH and 1.95 60' (2000-2500 launches still produced wheelspin). I know there is a lot left there and I will be switching to ET streets soon (I hear they are better for M6 cars, what do you guys think?)
Also, I forgot to add that this was into a 45 MPH headwind that almost tore my hood off when I opened it in the pits!
